Contemporary Collection

This is my new collection incorporating Resin finish. Larger pieces consists of number of smaller abstract paintings set together and finished as one unified artwork. For example, in pieces that are 24 x 36 inches I use 9 paintings plus one that I cut into slices and use them as spacers. So then one painting contains 10 abstracts.

I use acrylic paint, silver or gold leaf, liquid chromium and  metallic oil pastels. All is then finished with a layer of clear resin. Gallery quality resin I use is chemically engineered to offer the most efficient protection on the market today. It has no VOC vapors and is food safe. I prefer this expensive formula as it has HALS (Hindered Amine Light Stabilizer) added for extremely efficient long-term yellowing protection as well as gallery UV stabilizer which protects the artwork from gloss loss.

Pieces in this collection have often kind of Neolithic art style to compliment Ultra contemporary backgrounds. I find this style and time period contradiction very appealing. Many of my pieces capture suggestions of “time“ in physical form as well with pocket watch faces. Reminder that Time, our Time living, is the most valuable asset anybody can have and each of us decide individually how to use it.

You can view or purchase most of these pieces at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art Paradigm gallery which exclusively represents my artwork in NE Indiana.

Everybody wants to say something in age of social media. It came to the point of influencing whole societies. Inspired by loudest of those who have often very little to truly contribute to progress of humanity.
Human who loves to collect beautiful art and surround him/herself with it. So many textures, shapes, colors. After some time, Collector becomes one with it. As I love my collection of other artists and absorb my daily energy from it.
Historically people benefited from places where rivers meet. Including my own city of Fort Wayne. This is depiction of it and reminder that people of different tribes, ethnic groups, religious views can meet like rivers and cooperate to benefit all.
Most valuable asset in our life is Time. Some people never find it, some do. Of course, it’s just mental view as time goes on the same for all. This person is however consciously aware of it and therefore slows it down. Daily reminder of how are you going to use your time.
Collection of small individual paintings related to human connections to each other. Time we were given and how to invest it wisely not to profit but to Live fully and,if possible, to contribute.
